Does anyone have any experience with returning units to GearBest? - it sounds like a long shot, but still I'm asking the question.Īlso, everyone knows the Anet A8 frame is crap, and mine is broken. Could the Loctite have reacted with acrylic and weakened it?Įdit: From the Loctite site: "Use on plastic parts, particularly thermoplastic materials where stress cracking of the plastic could result". One guy here advised using Blue Loctite to prevent the screws rattling apart. I tightened the bolts up to a moderate level of tightness - but not crushing tightness. So I'm trying to figure out why the acrylic cracked. I ordered my Anet A8 before finding this community, and I knew I was taking a punt on such a low cost printer. It looks pretty bad.įirst, don't judge me on my purchasing choices. Then I noticed I could pull the parts away. Hi Folks - I've been assembling my kit, and I just noticed these cracks had appeared.
